Dave started playing bass at 21 and played his first gig at the RED LION Brentford in 1987 with his cover band JANUARY.
In 1990 he formed the CHISWICK FLYOVERS, again doing covers but with more gusto. They played all over the South east
doing not only support gigs to the likes of the CLIMAX BLUES BAND and the SENSATIONAL ALEX HARVEY BAND but as themselves
with support being provided by LIMEHOUSE LIZZY on one occassion. The peak of their career was having the opportunity to
gig at the now legendary MARQUEE in London.
After things drifted, as things do, Dave then formed the DEAD MEXICANS and off they went doing the South coast, Reading
and most points in between.
In 97' Dave started developing his acoustic guitar playing and ventured off into the world of songwriting. In 2000 he saw Iains advert on
the LOOT website and joined what would become RED HERRING.
At present Dave plays FENDER Jazz, VIGIER and MUSICMAN bass guitars through a HARTKE rig.
